Reservations and Repercussions

with the supreme courts ruling of 27 % quota in all premier govt institutes.....in addition to already 22.5 % quota set aside for sc n st.....................total reservation quota stand at whopping 49.5 %.............thank god i m done through higher education otherwise getting into govt institute(read sliet) would have been a far fetched dream for me.......................i dont understand this policy of reservation 50 years ago this would have been ok but now at this point of time......what comes after this reservation based on religion ,then reservation based on provinces.... ....first of all i dont know how will govt decide on creamy layer....govt simply failed in implementing 22.5% reservation policy .......rather than implementing 49% reservation govt should try to award scholarship to the deserving candidates ........this funda of reservation is not gonna to work..and if we can have reservation in education then why not in sports.........lets have reservation in cricket...can you think of this( tendulkar made to sit out because of reservation from odis).......political parties are going for this simply to secure their vote bank........but no one is going to benefit from this ....simply this will lead to degradation of stds , deserving candidates will have to wait or pray that they are put into reserved category ........................now dont be surprised if there is a mad rush for getting higher education from abroad......................
